Pumpking Spice Lattes to Peppermint Mochas

I'm proud to announce that I have somewhat gracefully survived November! This month has had it's fair share of lows with highs here and there. Anywho, it's out with the old and in with everything Christmas, happy and yummy. I'm really looking forward to the holidays (duhh who isn't?) and wanted to share how I'm physically and mentally preparing for the new month, also known as the last month of the year. Here, we'll be talking everything from decluttering, organizing, rejuvenation, baking and 2019 goals! I hope this helps you start your December on the right foot and ready to tackle all the mall runs, christmas parties, travelling, baking and eating that's about to happen. This post is kissing goodbye to all things autumn; pumpkin patches, crunchy leaves, fall fashion, final paper season, scary movie marathons, pumpkin spice lattes and welcoming the Micheal Buble, Grinch marathon, snowy, twinkly light, peppermint mocha season of love and light!

Below is a list of 25 items you can incorporate this week to prep for a new and busy month...

  1. Review past month/year

  1. Get excited about something/plan some

thing and countdown the days

  1. Start working on 2019 goals

  2. Restock on organizational supplies

  3. Get another plant

  4. Kick a bad habit or at least plan to

  5. Spend time in the cold

  6. Get in the Christmas spirit

  7. Start reading a romance novel

  8. Make a gratitude list about the past month (go through your camera roll as inspo)

  9. Revamp your space by rearranging furniture, decluttering, changing bedding etc.

  10. Stay in and cook something warm and hearty

  1. Go to your local Christmas themed festivals, shows and concerts

  2. Change up your look by cutting your hair or getting your nails done or why not both

  3. Get work done- it's almost the end of the term/year so plan efficiently to power through!

  4. Give give give- compliment someone, text people whom you haven't spoken to in awhile, volunteer your time, write letters to loved ones, MAKE Christmas presents, say hi to strangers

  5. Wake up early, make a cup of peppermint tea, look outside...that's it.

  6. Listen to instrumental Christmas music in the background or learn to play a Christmas song on the piano

  7. Have a pamper/reset day

  8. Take it easy- do work in your pjs, eat pancakes for dinner, skip the gym here and there, and just don't take things to seriously

  9. Decorate your bedroom/apartment with twinkly lights, throws, a (mini) tree and a mason jar of candy canes

  10. Make a winter bucketlist full of festive activities

  11. Have a final photoshoot in honour of fall- plan to send Christmas cards to distant family members

  1. Let go and embrace the new- observe the changing season, appreciate it, thank it for the memories, kiss it goodbye and move on gracefully

  1. Have a peppermint latte as you put pen to paper in a corner of a quiet cafe...

There you have it friends! A copy of the list I have made for myself to ensure that my room and mind are in order before December 1st. Again, like I always say it's up to you to take the time to see what you really need to do for yourself to start the month off right. Only you know what you need and what you want, so I wish you all the luck in the world as you compile lists of your own. But before I go I will leave you with this piece of advice, 1.embrace change, always 2. don't be too hard on yourself and 3. please allow yourself to have fun, don't be the one thing standing in your own way. Without further ado, from the bottom of my heart I wish you a joyful and prosperous month of December.

“Au milieu de l'hiver, j'apprenais enfin qu'il y avait en moi un été invincible.”
